Purpose Statement

The purpose of Children's Ministry is

to partner with parents to disciple children
by providing a consistent, loving, appealing,
secure and safe environment
in which we actively encourage children to
know Christ,
grow in relationship with Christ and
show Christ to others.

Partner means:

We recognize the family as the primary place of faith development. As a church, our task is to assist parents in discipling young people by coordinating effort at church and home.

An environment with C.L.A.S.S. is:

Consistent:
Teachers with a long-term commitment (no short rotation cycles)
Curriculum to ensure a systematic coverage of the Bible over time

Loving:
Teachers & helpers communicating with parents to better understand the child
Teachers & helpers who are serving because they have a heart for children

Appealing:
Trained workers who "Teach with Style"
Age appropriate furniture & accessories

Sunday Morning Children's Classes

At our 9:30 class we use "Hands-On Bible Curriculum."
Through these lessons kids stay connected and engaged during Bible lessons and therefore remember their "message" for months and years to come. They have fun learning and they actively participate.
We focus on one specific Bible Point, and use a variety of activities to reinforce that message. The goal is to send children home with one life-applicable piece of Bible truth each week. Weeks and months later, they will still remember what they have learned and be able to use it in their daily lives.

Hands-On Bible Curriculum is R.E.A.L.
Relational, Experiential, Applicable, and Learner-based. Every activity is purposefully designed to involve the child and communicate the biblical point of that day's lesson. Children don't just memorize a lesson in their head; they embrace the biblical truth with their heart.

Kids Own Worship

At our 11 am class we use Kid's Own Worship:
Touching the heart of God, changing the hearts of kids!
Your kids will sing...shout...celebrate God's goodness and mighty works...revel in God's unconditional love. Children will focus on God and experience worship through fun songs and memorable, hands-on Bible learning.
