How Can I Help?

At Grace Chapel, it is our practice to "Labor Together as a Team" (1 Cor. 12:4-11, 14f; Phil. 1:27; 1 Pet. 4:10-11). Recognizing that the church is described as the "body of Christ", we take seriously our obligation to learn to work together as a team with every believer. Each member knowing and using their gifts is critical for the proper and effective functioning of the body of Christ. In order to help you engage in ministry and use your gifts, we have provided this page to connect our members with ministry opportunities.

Ministry Opportunities @ Grace Chapel

Castle Rock Care Center. Our Castle Rock Care Center ministry provides a place for volunteers with a variety of gifts and abilities. Each Sunday morning a volunteer team holds a worship service at the Castle Rock Care Center located just east of our church building. The Care Center ministry is an expression of our love and concern for those who are no longer able to go to church. So, we take church to them. Each week we send a team of believers who minister to the needs of the Care Center residents. Together we sing, pray, and hear a message from God's word.

If you have a heart for the elderly, come and join us. We have need for greeters, song leaders and musicians. Become God's hands and feet to his loved ones.

We serve from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning, once a month.
Responsible children are welcome, but must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Sunday Morning Fellowship: If you are interested in helping prepare the fellowship table on a Sunday (cutting donuts, making coffee), please contact Ardie Hinkley

Building Maintenance. If you are able to help with facility maintenance and support, contact Michael Kennison.

Children's Ministry: If you are interested in leading a class, teaching the Bible to children, helping with games or crafts, please click here to contact Debbie Fellenz our Children's Director.

Ushers, greeters, helpers, etc. If you would like to assist on Sunday mornings serving as an usher or greeter, contact Dave McCurley. Some of the opportunities for service we have each week include:

Ushers: Our ushers assure that everyone present enjoys a distraction-free service. We do this by helping people find their seat and assist with the offering and communion. Our ushers are prepared 30 minutes before a service and assist for 5 minutes at the end of the service. You will find more information here.
Greeters: Our greeters welcome new visitors and regular attenders as we gather for worship each week. Greeters are energetic, outgoing, and friendly, and as young as 12 years old. Our greeters gather 20 minutes before the service, and assist again 10 minutes at the end of the service. If you would like to assist us once a month in serving as a greeter, you can find more information here.
